Hillview Speedway Club is holding a farewell for Nifty on Saturday 31st of August. Hillview Speedway will be at the Town Square on Saturday 17th August to promote the Onsite Rentals Fortescue Race Meet (and the Club). The Club will have cars on display,  merchandise for sale and Members to answer your questions. We'll also have raffle tickets on sale - $5 each - for a hot laps ride in a 2 seater Super Sedan (proceeds to Newman Men's Shed) Saturday night, all safety equipment and insurance included - values at $250. Come on down and say hello.  Don't forget the Race meeting that night at the track. The 2019 Hillview Speedway Club Inc Annual General Meeting is to be held on Tue 30th July at the the Clubrooms at 7:30pm. All Committee positions will be declared vacant.

Hillview Speedway final season meet and Presentation night will be held Saturday April 27th. This is the meeting that could decide the Club Champions for 2018-19. Points have been accrued throughout the year and now is the countdown.  The presentations of Champions Trophies for 2019 will be made after the conclusion of racing. All classes are invited. The 2019 Pirtek Formula 500 Challenge will take place on Saturday March 16th. All classes invited. Club points meeting has been replaced with a Practice session. All classes welcome. Members and drivers only (insurance requirement). A fun day for members and families to meet our great sponsors and supporters. The kids can play (Loins Castle,  slip'n' slid, pool / 8 ball,. The 2018 East Pilbara Tyre Service - Ash Page Memorial Race meet will be held Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd November 2018. All classes invited (Production Sedans, Street Stock Sedans, Sprintcars, Formula 500s, Sprints, Quads, Burnouts). Final busy bee prior to Fortescue to complete last minute jobs.  Practice session scheduled if we get enough cars. There is also a practice scheduled for Friday night before Fortescue.  If we get enough numbers we'll look at doing a Bbq again and make an evening of it. 

Club busy bee around track and facilities to clean up and prepare for the new racing season. As the track is still 'packed up' from last season there are a few jobs to trim bushes and weeds/grass, place bins around the track, etc. We have planned a BBQ dinner late afternoon / early evening - Gold coin (or more) - Let's get social. Please let us know if you're comming (& how many) so we can cater. Several drivers have indicated they may like to do a few turns of the track but the wall needs to finished first. If you have any time in the preceding weekends let us know.
